Saskatchewan residents changed the lives of 1,200 children this summer
International aid agency World Vision is thankful to the residents of Saskatchewan for their overwhelming generosity in the fight to end child poverty. Last week marked the end of the Campaign for Children, an opportunity for more people in the province to help children around the world. Over the summer, Saskatchewan citizens sponsored 1,200 children, which will change the lives of these children, their families and communities.

Celebrating Saskatchewan's compassion
On Saturday July 17, development agency World Vision hosted a BBQ in Saskatoon to celebrate the difference the people of Saskatchewan are making across the globe. The free event was manned by volunteers, and was a chance to highlight the generosity of people of Saskatchewan, many of whom advocate for and help some of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Ontario ignoring child slavery
A new poll released today reveals that Ontarians feel conflicted about child labour and how they may be fueling the tragedy. Commissioned by World Vision a few weeks after the Bangladesh factory disaster, the Ipsos Reid survey found that 73 per cent of Ontarians think it’s easy to turn a blind eye to child labour in developing countries.
