World Vision Canada welcomes today's announcement by the Government of Canada to $430m over three years to UN peace operations and commit up to 600 military and up to 150 police personnel. 

Rise Up! Daughters of India is an integrated project that aims to engage the Indian diaspora in Canada to help Indian girls stay in school, through the provision of toilet facilities.  

Last night approximately 200 leaders with roots in countries around world gathered at World Vision's headquarters to discuss how ethnic communities in Canada are uniquely poised to bring about positive global change.  
 

On Saturday July 17, development agency World Vision hosted a BBQ in Saskatoon to celebrate the difference the people of Saskatchewan are making across the globe. A new poll released today reveals that Ontarians feel conflicted about child labour and how they may be fueling the tragedy.  Commissioned by World Vision a few weeks after the Bangladesh factory disaster, the Ipsos Reid survey found that 73 per cent of Ontarians think it’s easy to turn a blind eye to child labour in developing countries.
