Did you know, with our supporters’ help, World Vision Canada reached more than 7.6 million people in 2024*? We responded to 36 humanitarian crises and worked with partners to ensure 3,037,177 people received food and cash assistance. Through our programs, 963,800 patients received health consultations.

Amazing! And yet, when the numbers start rolling, impressive—even lifesaving—as they are, it can be challenging to wrap our minds around them.

So we gave a few key accomplishments some Canadian perspective.

Communities around the world are defying reality every day.

  • 61,344 people trained in disaster risk reduction strategies—nearly twice the number of full-time firefighters in Canada
  • 11,501 mothers receiving vital maternal health and nutrition services—nearly the number of women who gave birth last year in Saskatchewan
  • 379,033 children equipped with school supplies, uniforms and bicycles—enough children to fill Vancouver’s BC Place seven times over
  • 486,328 people trained in child protection, positive parenting and children’s rights—close to the number of kids under 19 living in Toronto
  • 7,161 water sources constructed or improved to provide safe drinking water—the number of water and wastewater treatment plants in all of Canada

These milestones reflect your generosity in action. From emergency preparedness to clean water access, supporters like you are helping to empower families, safeguard children and build a more hopeful future.

*These results are for fiscal year 2024. World Vision Canada’s fiscal year runs from October 1 to September 30.
