The children of Syria need your help. In recent days, children and families in northern Syria are suffering through the single greatest escalation in violence since the conflict began.
Intense artillery and airstrikes have forced almost one million people to flee. Homes and schools are no longer safe. Families are desperately searching for safety. Children and their families are being killed by airstrikes daily.
According to the United Nations, the vulnerability of Syrians is increasing, “With reports of exploitation of women and girls, the separation of children from their families, and increasing rates of malnutrition.”
When families are forced from home, there is little they can take with them. The needs are great, and shelter is a main concern for over 90% of the newly displaced families, especially as temperatures regularly fall below 0 degrees Celsius.
“Children tell us what they need — security, family unity and education.”
The children and families of northern Syria require shelter and other assistance such as protection, medical assistance and help to reunite families torn apart as they fled.
World Vision is on the ground in northern Syria providing relief. But our current resources won’t meet the immense need.
Please donate now and help vulnerable children and their families affected by the conflict in Syria. Your donation will help provide things like life-saving essentials, access to healthcare, protection and safe spaces for children and families and more.
