Our commitment to supporting the world’s most marginalized children is stronger than ever. We continue to work in fragile contexts—areas of the world that are fraught with extreme poverty, chronic instability, conflict and violence.  

In 2025, 31 per cent of our resources went toward programs in places like Myanmar, Sudan and Haiti, where political and social stresses continuously put children in harm’s way. Fragile contexts are home to a quarter of the world’s population but account for three quarters of people living in extreme poverty worldwide.

In 2025, Canadians sponsored 251,215 girls and boys in 34 countries. Your generosity equipped children with essentials like education, healthcare, clean water and nutritious food—while helping to strengthen the entire community around them.  

And the impact multiplies: for every child sponsored, four more benefit through child-focused, community driven programs that spark lasting change.
