Families in Haiti Need Urgent Help
Hurricane Melissa has left a trail of destruction across the Caribbean, with Haiti among the hardest hit. Authorities report at least 40 people dead and 13 missing across seven departments. Thousands of homes have been flooded, roads are blocked, and communities remain cut off from essential aid. In places like Port-Salut and Anse-à-Pitre, entire communities have been displaced by coastal surges.
Agricultural livelihoods are also in crisis. Flooded rivers, including La Digue and Rivière Grise, have damaged farmlands, destroying crops and worsening food insecurity in already vulnerable communities.
World Vision's Response
