From watching her grandmother deliver babies to delivering them herself in a refugee camp as a registered midwife, Paula’s seen—and felt—it all.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, Paula can continue providing essential healthcare to vulnerable expectant and new mothers, and their babies, despite the camp’s harsh conditions.
Here are the highlights from Paula's video.
0:00 – From grandmother to grandchild, Paula shares where her passion for midwifery comes from
0:12 – Paula’s introduction
0:32 – The emotional toll of working in a camp
0:50 – World Vision’s impact: "Since we started working, no more women are giving birth in latrines or in the bush”
1:10 – Paula’s wish for the camp’s children: “I really hope that every child that comes out from this would really have a better life outside. Better schools, healthcare, the love they deserve.”
All children deserve a healthy start in life, no matter where they live.
Give to real impact so at-risk children have food, water, healthcare, education and psychosocial support.
