The lasting impact of your compassion

Canadians like you believe in creating opportunities for children and families to build brighter, more secure futures. Through access to education, clean water and other life-changing support, your compassion makes a difference today. A gift in your Will is one way to carry those values forward for generations to come.

More than paperwork

A Will is more than a legal document. It's a reflection of what matters most to you: the people you love, the values you hold close and the causes that have shaped your life.

Dawn, a World Vision supporter from British Columbia, shares how her own experiences inspired her decision to include World Vision in her Will:

"I grew up in a disadvantaged home. I learned that education was key to a better life...I learned how important it is to care for the underprivileged in the world’s society, especially girls and women." ~ Dawn, BC

The values that inspire people like Dawn to give can continue creating opportunities for children and families in the years ahead.

What a legacy makes possible

In Northern Uganda, that difference can be seen in the everyday lives of families like Grace's, where access to clean water has brought greater health, stability and peace of mind.

For years, accessing water was a daily challenge. Grace and other community members had to travel nearly two hours to collect water, often facing long waits and tensions at crowded wells.

Today, thanks to World Vision's installation of a motorized water system, four new water taps provide clean, safe water closer to households. The initiative has improved access to water for more than 100 households and over 1,300 pupils at the local primary school.

"Ever since World Vision brought water closer, we haven't had issues. Our lives are easier, healthier, and less stressful," Grace shares.

Stories like Grace's show how access to essential resources can transform lives, creating opportunities for children and communities to build brighter futures.

Through the generosity of supporters, World Vision Canada's Where Most Needed fund helps respond to pressing needs and changing challenges, supporting children and communities wherever help is needed most.

A gift in your Will may be received many years from now, when the needs facing children could be different from those we see today. By choosing Where Most Needed, you can help World Vision Canada respond where support is needed most when the time comes.

Your family comes first

Your Will is personal, and the people you love come first. Including a charitable gift is entirely your choice.

Some supporters choose to leave a small percentage of what remains after caring for their family, while others choose a specific amount. A gift of any size can be meaningful.

There is no single approach that works for everyone. What matters is finding an option that reflects your values, circumstances and wishes.

And remember, your Will is yours to revisit and update as life changes.
