Nexus Accelerator Fund Mid-term Learning Report
Mid-term evidence from 11 Field Offices on how integrated humanitarian, development and peacebuilding programming is working in fragile contexts.
The Nexus Accelerator Fund (NAF) Mid-Term Learning Report shares emerging lessons from the largest single evidence-generation effort undertaken across the NAF portfolio to date. NAF is World Vision’s multi-year flexible funding and learning mechanism for implementing the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus in fragile contexts, bringing humanitarian assistance, development interventions and peacebuilding together in a single approach. Drawing on a mixed-methods evaluation conducted in April 2026, the report engages 5,273 respondents across 11 Field Offices, including household surveys, 133 focus group discussions and 119 key informant interviews. Covering settings from acute conflict to protracted displacement, it synthesizes findings across the Survive, Adapt and Thrive pillars, highlights promising practices and implementation challenges, and offers recommendations to strengthen programming for the remainder of the FY25-FY27 cycle. It is not a final impact evaluation, but it shows where the nexus approach is making progress and where gaps remain, offering practical guidance for program teams, donors and partners.
