BLOOM Gender Learning Agenda
How BLOOM is learning what helps adolescent girls and young women in Somalia, Rwanda and Tanzania build economic independence, and what gets in the way.
BLOOM Africa is a five-year, $20 million CAD initiative, funded by Global Affairs Canada, working to improve economic empowerment for marginalized adolescent girls and young women in Somalia, Rwanda and Tanzania.
The BLOOM Gender Learning Agenda sets out the key questions the project is asking to understand how and why gender transformation happens in practice, and where it may stall. Rather than treating learning as an end-of-project report, the agenda is designed to guide decisions in real time, helping teams adapt their work, test assumptions and shape future programs.
Learning is led by the voices of girls and young women, alongside young men, families, community leaders, employers and other partners. Explore the four areas of focus below.
