Tommy Tam of the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation, Markham Regional Councillor Joe Li and Markham Councillor (Ward 2) Allan Ho present a cheque for $51,520 to World Vision Canada’s Lara Dewar to support the aid agency’s on-going Nepal Earthquake Response. The generous donation combines the proceeds from two fundraising events organized by the councillors.

Since the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck on April 25th, Nepal has struggled to rebuild in the face of political uncertainty and a shortage of fuel for vehicles, which has hampered the distribution of relief supplies, particularly in remote regions.
