World Vision is preparing for relief operations to reach remote areas and bring essential support to affected communities as soon as possible.
Tropical Cyclone Pam, one of the strongest storms to slam the South Pacific in years, made a direct hit on Vanuatu, a country of an estimated 250,000 people. It's believed the storm caused widespread damage in Vanuatu and immediate needs are likely to be access to clean water, food and shelter, as well as support with general household and hygiene items. Please help families impacted by Cyclone Pam.

World Vision is distributing prepositioned relief supplies on the island, such as shelter kits, hygiene kits and kitchen sets, and further distributions are planned in the coming days.

  • Shelter Kits contain items such as tarpaulins, hammers, nails, saws, ropes, shovels.
  • Hygiene Kits contain items such as toothpaste and toothbrush, soap, sanitary items for women, shaving razors, sewing kit, bucket, candles and waterproof matches.
  • Kitchen Sets contain items such as cooking pots, cups, plates and cutlery.

World Vision has worked in Vanuatu for more than 30 years and has 80 staff based throughout the country.

Please send a gift to help people affected by storms like Cyclone Pam today. You can also read more about World Vision's relief efforts in Vanuatu.
