When you donate to Where Most Needed, you’re helping end poverty for children. This flexible fund allows us to adapt and respond to children’s changing needs in the locations where we serve. We can’t always foresee the next crisis or funding gaps, so this allows us to funnel money where it will be most effective. Donations go toward three areas of support:

The Where Most Needed fund gives us the flexibility to respond swiftly when urgent needs arise. Because crises and funding shortfalls can be unpredictable, this fund allows us to act without delay. Your gift may support emergency food, essential medical care or programs that need immediate assistance. We steward every dollar thoughtfully to create the greatest possible impact for vulnerable children—right when support matters most.
How does donating to Where Most Needed help end poverty for children?
Lack of access to food, healthcare and education keeps many children in poverty. A gift to Where Most Needed helps us respond quickly to urgent needs. By providing essential support, children can grow up healthy, nourished and educated—giving them a better chance to reach their full potential.
How does World Vision Canada use my donation?
We’re grateful for your partnership and are committed to using your gifts wisely. We account for every dollar we raise and put to work in ways that create long‑term change for children in need. Over the past five years, 85 per cent of funds supported programs for children and families, 10 per cent helped raise more support and five per cent covered essential operations and accountability. Our finances are also regularly reviewed by an independent auditor, KPMG, to ensure transparency and accuracy.
