Rose is one of many children in Tubur that comes from a vulnerable family. Her older siblings didn’t finish their education because there wasn’t money for tuition.

When Rose was sponsored, it changed her destiny.

“Not until World Vision intervened in our family did we experience a break through,” Rose remembers.

Her parents received training in methods that would increase their farming yields. With the extra profits, Rose and her younger siblings could go to school. The family received an ox and plough, and stronger breeds of goats and a cow, all of which improved their resilience.

After graduating with a diploma in Human Nutrition, Rose now works with the National Crop Research Resources Institute.

“I am now self-reliant and the pillar of our family,” she says. “I work so hard and am preparing myself to go back to school for further studies, since I can pay for tuition myself. I sincerely thank World Vision for the support and success you brought to my life, and our whole family.”

Help a child realize their full potential. Give the gift of education.
