Students at World Vision's vocational training school learn how to become independent with hands-on education.
The building functions as a community center near El Prodigio in the Dominican Republic. It was built in partnership with the local government and World Vision.
At the center, teachers provide vocational instruction in many topics, such as computers, baking, hair styling, sewing, handcrafting goods, and small business management.
World Vision operates the space and provides all materials for each class. Students are also connected to VisionFund
, and are encouraged to apply for opportunities to take out small loans to start their own businesses.
