Coronavirus (COVID-19) impact on World Vision operations

In support of public health recommendations outlined by the World Health Organization, some sponsorship program activities have been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19. Activities may include sponsor queries and correspondence, sponsor visits, gift notifications and gift deliveries. These temporary suspensions may affect the information you receive from us in the coming weeks and months.

Located in El Salvador's Sonsonate province, Los Manantiales was one of the most impoverished in the country. Most families live in the rural area, where most of the roads are still made of dirt. The climate is humid and tropical. In the rainy season, access to some parts of the community is difficult. Some parts of the community are susceptible to flooding, while others are at risk of landslides.

Thanks to the generosity of Canadian sponsors like you, life in Los Manantiales has improved. Children and families have grown stronger and are working together to overcome their challenges. Your support has opened doors that will have a lasting impact for years to come.
People in Los Manantiales are celebrating that they are now empowered to move forward without World Vision’s presence. Here are some of the accomplishments:

Child Protection
  • 9 community partners from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors worked with World Vision over the past year, improving the lives of children.
Health and Nutrition
  • 20 children received health checks from a trained health care provider
*Results achieved from October 2018 to September 2019
