Our partners are the communities we serve, child sponsors, government agencies, faith-based organizations and other humanitarian organizations; we all work together to make a lasting difference in the lives of children.
When you sponsor a child, your money is used to run long-term development projects called Area Development Programs (ADPs) – it’s how we do most of our work.
ADPs are child-focused, sustainable development programs, divided up into smaller community clusters that include between 15,000 to 100,000 people – communities that we’re committed to being with for up to 15 years.
Together with sponsors and other partners, we support more than 250 ADPs in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Our local facilitators are trained to build relationships, help the community identify needs and solutions, provide training to community leaders and encourage networking among local and government groups.
Our work is long-term, locally owned and moves communities toward self-sufficiency. We make sustainable positive changes in the communities we serve.
