Shaheen says, “I am alive only due to timely efforts done by World Vision’s staff. Thank you so much for guidance. I will deliver my next baby in hospital without any hesitation. Now I am also referring other pregnant women."
World Vision has been working with communities in Pakistan since 1992, meeting the immediate needs of families affected by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters.
With the support of Canadians, World Vision will continue to help with activities like:
  • Training for health workers and parents on proper nutrition and care for mothers and babies
  • Empowering community groups to advocate for better health and nutrition services
  • Improving psychosocial support for children and survivors of sexual violence
  • Preparing teachers to meet the specific needs of students affected by conflict
