The CEBL has a goal to raise $50,000 for #RawHope
The CEBL is committed to helping communities, both locally and globally. We are proud to partners with World Vision Canada to help youth and families living in the some of the world's most dangerous places. We need our league’s biggest supporters like you to help us support #RawHope. – Mike Morreale, Commissioner | Co-Founder, Canadian Elite Basketball League.
CEBL supporters support #RawHope
CEBL fans are Tough, Driven, Brave, and Fierce. Just like some of the youth and families we saw on our recent trip with World Vision to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. We got to see firsthand that growing up in places of instability such as Honduras is not easy. There are many challenges such as violence, water insecurity, poverty, and lack of education. The CEBL and its fans have a real chance to make a real difference in these places, helping some beautiful people, like some of the people we met in Honduras. Please show your support by supporting #RawHope. Let’s show the world what CEBL fans are made of. – Jermaine Anderson, General Manager & VP of Basketball Operations, Brampton Honey Badgers
Your contributions make a real impact
What makes a place dangerous?
What makes a place dangerous?
Extreme poverty. Climate change. Famine. Conflict. These factors make a place fragile and block children and their families from having their basic needs met. When you give through Raw Hope, World Vision can help girls, boys and their families, living in places others can’t reach. Places like Honduras, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), South Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan*.

*Afghanistan disclaimer: As an International Partnership, World Vision Canada (WVC) is still operational in Afghanistan and working to meet the needs of children and their families. WVC has worked in Afghanistan but, as a result of a change in Afghanistan’s government, at this time, no Canadian raised funds (either from private donations or from government) can be programmed there due to Canadian Criminal Code restrictions. As concerned Canadians, you can call your federal Member of Parliament and express your concern and frustration that legal barriers make it impossible for Canadian charities, like WVC, to support work in Afghanistan. Raise your concerns about the significant level of needs and the urgency to remove these barriers so that life-saving work can resume.
