Hope in the Classroom
Hundreds of thousands of children have been displaced and left homeless in the war-torn South Darfur region of Sudan. Many such girls and boys are unable to go to school. Thanks to the Canadians who gave through last year's Gift Catalogue, World Vision distributed learning and teaching materials, including textbooks, to the Manawashi Mixed Basic School in Sudan.

As 13-year-old student Rasha Abubukar expressed it, "I know education is power. It's the only key to success. By coming to school, I feel that I'm preparing for a better future."
