No previous volunteer or technical experience is required to volunteer. World Vision will provide you with the tools and training needed to fulfill your volunteer responsibilities. However, the following skills could be beneficial (writing, computer skills, photography skills, video skills, blogging, vlogging, and familiarity with online social media tools, etc.)

To be eligible for a Destination Life Change trip, you must:

• live in Canada;
• be over the age of 18;
• be able to cover the financial commitment for your trip (see Destinations and Prices to review the specific cost of the trip you’re interested in);
• successfully complete the application process (including an interview, reference checks and a police check).
• be willing to share your story online through the www.worldvision.ca/communities website
• find sponsors for a minimum of five children who live in the specific community that you will visit prior to the trip (World Vision will send details about five specific children to volunteers who are officially accepted to participate in a trip); and
• upon return home, be committed to continuing to advocate on behalf of children affected by poverty and raise awareness about the transformational impact of child sponsorship.
