Welcome to World Vision Campus: World Vision Canada’s program that equips college and university leaders for action on issues of global hunger, poverty, and social justice.
Now in its second year, World Vision Campus supports a growing network of students who engage and mobilize their campus so that children globally experience “life in all its fullness”. Raising awareness, raising funds, and advocacy actions are the three main ways groups take action.
World Vision Campus supports group leaders across Canada with:
- Monthly conference calls with new campaigns and resources
- A manual with tools and tips to start and run a WV Campus group
- Training sessions with experienced World Vision program staff
- WV Campus t-shirts, banners and giveaways to promote group awareness
- A website with special tools and resources just for campus leaders
- Support from regional WV staff
WV Campus groups are currently active at UBC, University of Manitoba, Waterloo, Brock, McMaster, University of Toronto, York and McGill. Several more groups are set to launch in 2010-2011.
