A soccer team from World Vision's Khauhelo area development program (ADP) has caught the eye of talent scouts from the South African national team and clubs from the South African Football Association.

The 27 team members, some of them sponsored children, and their community are all excited that two budding stars were chosen to train with a first division team in the country's Premier Soccer League.

Besides the professional opportunities their participation in the local soccer club affords their children, the boys' parents are just happy they are off the street and doing something positive with their lives - even though many families are struggling to provide the players with proper team uniforms and equipment.

Like the rest of the country, the Khauhelo Football Club is ecstatic at the news that South Africa will host the 2010 World Cup of Soccer. It would be a dream come true for them to play for their country when it hosts the world's best in six years.
