Jarvis Church & James Bryan of the Philosopher Kings
Musical Guests
Jarvis is the lead singer and James is the guitarist of the Canadian pop/rock band The Philosopher Kings. Together they have toured the world’s stages and had many top 20 hits and awards. Jarvis is also one half of the Grammy nominated production duo Track and Field working with a variety of artists including Nelly Furtado, Tina Turner, Ricky Martin and Caitlin Crosby. Recognized as one of the top guitarists in Canada, James is also a hit making songwriter and producer.
Both Jarvis and James travelled with World Vision to Kenya in 1997 and last year James once again saw World Vision’s work first hand in the Dominican Republic. Come hear these long-time supporters of World Vision perform some of their best-loved songs.
Krystaal

Krystaal is an award-winning group of three brothers who excel in various genres of music such as Urban and World (African). Michel, Fabian and Aliston Lwamba came to Canada from Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) having experienced many trials and hardships under a corrupt dictatorship. Come hear these ambassadors of peace and forgiveness.
Mi-Jung Lee Event Host

Mi-Jung has been the anchor and producer for CTV News at 11:30 since 2001. She began her broadcast career in 1990 and has won numerous awards including the 2006 RTNDA National Award for Best Spot News coverage. Mi-Jung is actively involved with local charities and enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She recently travelled to Brazil with World Vision and is looking forward to sharing her experience with you.
Bob Saye Event Host
(Abbotsford location)
Bob was born in Toronto and started in the radio business at Q107 in Toronto. He has worked in Vancouver radio since 1980. Outside of having a great job on the air, Bob is into running and has completed three marathons. He has been married to his wife Judith for 23 years and they have three children. In December, Bob travelled with World Vision to Brazil and will share his first-hand experience about seeing child sponsorship at work.
Dirk Booy Keynote Speaker
As Executive Vice President of World Vision Canada, Dirk brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in development and humanitarian assistance. Having served in developing countries for two decades, including 7 years as the National Director for World Vision Tanzania, he can speak with authority about the issues facing today’s poor.
