Government Announces Matching Grant
The federal government is matching Canadian donations to charities involved in Haitian relief efforts. Due to the generosity of Canadians the government has also lifted its $50 million cap for matching funds—all funds will now be matched.
Donations to World Vision Canada qualify for this program.
Federal International Co-operation Minister Bev Oda says Ottawa will match contributions by individual Canadians to eligible charitable organizations in support of humanitarian and recovery efforts in Haiti.
All individual donations received January 12 to February 12, 2010 may be eligible for the matching program.
World Vision in Haiti Now

With its international response team in place to assist, World Vision’s relief efforts are well underway. World Vision Haiti is now distributing supplies focusing on helping families and children with basic needs. A relief flight with 18 tonnes of emergency supplies is due to arrive on Friday morning.
