"We began sponsoring six or seven years ago. We chose World Vision because we wanted to give money to a reputable organization. We also wanted to show our children that we can do incredible things if enough people work together to make a better world." Françoise:
"I like that our children are involved. They've learned how wonderful it is to give. It's a big world out there and we're helping out just four children. That's a small drop in the bucket, but every drop helps. If you put in enough drops, you end up with an ocean."
Stephanie, 14:
"I began sponsoring Nessene from Mali when I was 10 years old. I earned the money by walking a dog five days a week and by doing jobs around the house. In the first picture I received, Nessene looked a bit sad. I wrote to her five times and sent her stickers and balloons. In the next picture she looked happier. I felt like I had accomplished something really important. There are six billion people on Earth, but someone out there knows that I care for her. It's meaningful."
Michel, 12:
"I had put aside money and I didn't know what to do with it. I decided to give the money to World Vision for the people in Afghanistan. For me it's not a lot to give, but for them it's a lot." Click here to sponsor a child .
