Thank you Georges and Anabelle
NHL tough guy Georges Laraque and champion figure skater Anabelle Langlois practice a routine for Battle of the Blades.
Laraque and Langlois’ winnings will go toward rebuilding Grace Children’s Hospital in Haiti. Here, Laraque plays hockey with children at the hospital on a recent visit.
World Vision Canada extends a huge thank you to the “French Connection”—Georges Laraque and Anabelle Langlois—as they teamed up to skate for Hockey for Haiti, on season two of Battle of the Blades (BOTB).
Though Laraque and Langlois were recently eliminated, their charity, Hockey for Haiti, will receive a $25,000 donation. Hockey for Haiti is a joint initiative of World Vision Canada, Laraque and the National Hockey League Players’ Association, to help rebuild Grace Children’s Hospital.
The hospital is one of Haiti’s leading pediatric hospitals dedicated to the treatment of children with HIV, tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases but massive earthquake damage has rendered the facility unsafe.
You can also support Laraque and Langlois’ cause by making a donation to help restore Grace Children’s Hospital.
