Polar Bears in Africa
For the past 25 years, brothers Todd and Trent Courage have organized the Polar Bear Dip in Oakville, Ontario. Each New Year’s Day, the event sees scores of diehard participants diving into the icy waters of Lake Ontario to raise money for World Vision.
This past September, the brothers traveled to Rwanda to see the need for clean water in rural communities and a water project their annual event has funded.
The goal of the 2010 Polar Bear Dip is to raise another $60,000 to complete the Kahi Water Project. For more information, visit PolarBearDip.ca.
