Sing Across the World is a global music project launched by award winning songwriter, producer and guitarist James Bryan, in partnership with World Vision. Now in its second year, the initiative connects Ontario high school music students with youth from World Vision projects around the world, and inspires them to create music together.
This year, Bryan chose Fanfare—a student choir from North Peel’s Mayfield Secondary School—to partner with 4 in 1, an acapella group hailing from the Dominican Republic. Together via Skype and the internet, they co-wrote the powerful and uplifting anthem, "Sing It Like You Mean It".

The experience transcended language barriers and had a lasting impact on both the students and the group overseas. The recording, produced by Bryan, will be available for $2 at the premiere concert at Mayfield Secondary School.
A Lifelong Goal
“Through the power of the internet and with my assistance as a songwriter/producer, the two groups met online and contributed to create a song together over several sessions”, Bryan explains.
The direct goal of the concert is to change the lives of children and communities in the Dominican Republic by raising both awareness and funds for World Vision's work in the nation.
“Sing Across the World is the result of a life-long goal of mine, to bring young people together through music to affect positive change in the world”, says Bryan.
