Five Years Later: Rebuilding Young Lives
December 26, 2009, marked five years since history’s deadliest tsunami claimed the lives of 230,000 people in Asia.
Since then, World Vision has been working to restore access to essential resources, such as education, in places like Indonesia.
While helping children like Dedek and Viranda regain a sense of normalcy following one of the most terrifying experiences of their young lives, the World Vision-funded SD 20 elementary school, in Banda Aceh, is also receiving national recognition for its academic standards.
