Several reputable NGOs, including World Vision Canada, have joined together for this effort and donations will be shared among the organizations.
Hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, Cheryl Hickey and Ben Mulroney, the broadcast will be commercial-free and packed with celebrity appearances and performances from stars such as Michael J. Fox, James Cameron, Nelly Furtado, Celine Dion and The Tragically Hip. The show will also feature powerful stories from the local Haitian community and victims, and celebrity endorsements asking Canadians to respond.
The broadcast will directly precede the U.S. fundraiser, “Hope for Haiti Now”, hosted by George Clooney, Wyclef Jean and Anderson Cooper.
We look forward to engaging Canadians, giving them the opportunity to respond by helping those in need during this crisis.
Please donate today to World Vision’s relief efforts in Haiti.
