2009
Annual Report
|
|
Welcome to World Vision’s Annual Report.
On this site, you’ll read what was possible, thanks to nearly 600,000 people who supported our work this year. People who joined with us in putting children first—even in an economic downturn. Together, we remained faithful to the boys and girls in our care, fulfilling all our programming commitments for 2009.
- Learn how through your sponsorship of 491,668 children, our development work helped transform communities.
- Recall the year’s natural disasters and civil conflicts noting that with your help, children and families were warmed, fed, sheltered and assisted as they rebuilt their lives.
- Read how Canadians joined with us to advocate for the powerless and empower children and communities with knowledge of their rights.
We encourage you to explore this site, noting our commitment to these boys and girls we serve in our work with their communities. We trust you’ll see the many different ways that World Vision is putting children first.
