THE MONEY YOU RAISE CAN CHANGE PEOPLE'S LIVES
Program Funds Chart
Last year more than 82% of the funds received by World Vision Canada went to programs that combat poverty and help children and communities in need.
NUTRITIONAL PROGRAMS: With more than 26,000 children under the age of five dying daily, reducing malnutrition has the potential to save many lives. World Vision nutrition Programs make a differenceprograms work with local health workers and parents to meet the nutritional needs of all community members. Special programs empower local people to teach and mentor each other so that nutritional and agricultural knowledge stays within the community.

HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS: Malnutrition weakens a child’s immune system, making it harder for them to fight off infections such as diarrhea, pneumonia and malaria. Plus, many children don’t have access to the health care they need. But World Vision’s health intervention programs are working to reduce child malnutrition rates and improve children’s overall well-being.

CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAMS: Every child deserves a safe and healthy childhood. But sadly, many children live in a world where prostitution, rape, forced acts of violence and a life on the street are their realities. World Vision child protection programs work with traumatized children to provide education, skills, opportunities and, most importantly, hope.

HAITI EMERGENCY RELIEF: on January 12, 2010, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake devastated the Haitian city of Port-au-Prince. Millions of people have been affected and up to 200,000 killed. World Vision has been on the ground since the disaster struck and your famine funds will support the distribution of emergency supplies to help families and children.
