President and Chief Executive Officer—Dave Toycen
Dave Toycen is President and Chief Executive Officer of World Vision Canada, the country's largest humanitarian relief and development agency. In his nine years as president, he has guided the organization into dramatic growth in its efforts to serve the world's poor. Dave's career with World Vision internationally has spanned more than 30 years, during which time his influence has been felt in every continent. Under his leadership, more than $2 billion has been raised in aid and development for the poor. A Canadian citizen, Dave holds a bachelor of arts degree from Lawrence University in Wisconsin, a master of divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in California, and honorary doctorates from Tyndale College and Seminary in Toronto, the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California and Wycliffe College, Toronto. Dave and his wife, Diane Toycen, are members of Trinity Anglican Church in Streetsville, Ontario. The couple has two grown children and two granddaughters.
Executive Vice President—Dirk Booy
Dirk Booy was appointed as the Executive Vice President for World Vision Canada on May 1, 2006. Previously, he held the position of Vice President for International & Canadian Programs since 2002. Prior to this, Dirk worked for more than 20 years in Africa serving in various leadership and management positions and has extensive experience as an organizational consultant, trainer/facilitator in the areas of community and organizational development. Dirk is a Canadian and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Economics from Calvin College and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Guelph in Rural Planning and Development. Dirk and his wife, Joanne, have two daughters and a son.
Vice President, Public Affairs—Linda Tripp
Linda Tripp joined World Vision Canada (WVC) in 1976, managing a wide variety of overseas and domestic development programmes. She currently serves as Vice President Public Affairs. As the first woman to serve as a Vice President at World Vision, Linda chaired its Women's Commission, which developed a Partnership-wide policy on Gender. She was a member of the World Vision delegation to the United Nations Conference on Women, in Beijing, China and the Beijing + 5, five years later in New York. In her position as Vice President, Linda has liaised with government aid agencies and non-government organizations across Canada. She has served on various inter-agency committees, and as Vice Chair of the Board of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (CCIC). Linda's energy and commitment currently focus on the following departments: Policy and Advocacy, Education and Public Engagement, Church Relations and Public Relations. Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, and spent seven years in adult education, teaching mathematics, science and communications. She and her husband, Doug, reside in Rockwood, where they are members of St. John's Anglican church.
Vice President of International and Canadian Programs—Emmanuel Isch
Emmanuel Isch is Vice-President of International and Canadian Programs, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating WVC's international ministry and program commitments in conjunction with other WV offices. He also oversees collaboration with governmental and non-governmental institutions in Canada for the purposes of partnership and resource acqusition. Emmanuel holds a B.A. in Economics and International Development and has completed graduate work in international development from McGill University in Montreal. He has over 15 years of experience in international relief and development work, both in Canada and overseas, in various roles with several organizations. He joined WVC in May 2004 as Director for the Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs Division. Emmanuel attends the Meeting House in Oakville. He is married to Linda and they have two children.
