"Most Canadians will never experience a winter water dip, but the 'Polar Bears' are all heart when they take the cold plunge January 1st to raise $60,000 towards the Clean Water for Kahi Project which will bring clean water to the community of Kahi, Rwanda.

Currently, only 40% of the families in this region are getting water from a protected source. As part of this project, World Vision will drill wells, build reservoirs and establish healthier sanitation conditions in the Kahi community. This will help reduce water-borne diseases, and ultimately decrease the amount of time women and children spend fetching water, ensuring that more children attend school.
