Relief Programs respond to humanitarian emergencies by providing shelter, food, primary health care, trauma counseling, reconstruction, tools and seeds for agricultural recovery.

Candidates for such programs require previous emergency relief/disaster mitigation, commodity distribution or logistics experience and a willingness to redeploy as required. Development Projects focus on community/social development, health (including HIV/AIDS), water/sanitation programs, agricultural extension, microfinance and microenterprise development.

Whilst most projects employ local staff, World Vision may also require internationally recruited candidates with experience in project management, public/community health, finance and accountancy, skills training, information technology, human resource management, logistics and agriculture or engineering.

World Vision offers overseas employment opportunities to individuals who demonstrate compatibility with World Vision's Core Values and who meet the following requirements:

  • experience of at least six months overseas development work in the past five years;
  • language skills in French, Spanish or Portuguese or other, as appropriate;
  • qualifications appropriate to the needs of the projects.
